Join us for an online information session on Thursday 21 May from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm (EST)
to learn about our UNHQ-administered
health insurance plans ahead of the upcoming insurance year beginning 1 July 2026

Dear ASHI participant,

We hope that you and your family are well.

As you may be aware, AFICS/NY Annual Assembly will take place on 29 May from 3.00-6.00 PM in Conference Room 1. This event will feature presentations by the Secretary-General’s Representative, senior officials and specialists covering topics such as pension issues, health insurance and AFICS/NY activities.

Due to the number of speakers during the Assembly, there is limited time to address all the key health insurance concerns of interest to retirees. Therefore, the AFICS/NY Health Insurance Committee, in collaboration with the UN Health and Life Insurance Section (HLIS), warmly invites you to participate in an online information session on Thursday, 21 May from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm

This session will cover:

  • an overview of 4 UNHQ-administered health insurance plans (Aetna PPO, Anthem PPO, Cigna Dental PPO, and the UN Worldwide Plan)
  • key information on the After-Service Health Insurance (ASHI) programme
  • important updates in preparation for the insurance year beginning in July 2026

The session will also address other important topics, including Medicare Part B.

Please find below instructions on how to register, join, and participate in the information session.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with your personal access link to join the session. We recommend adding the event to your calendar using the option provided in the confirmation email.

  • your web browser (no installation required)

Please try to join 5 - 10 minutes early to ensure your connection is working properly.

3. Audio and video

This is a webinar format. Participants will be muted and not visible to others while presenters will guide the session

4. Asking questions (Q&A)

You can submit questions at any time using the Q&A panel during the session. Questions will be reviewed and answered either live during the session or afterwards, depending on time available

5. Sharing the event
